UMB Faculty Senate President, Dr. Joshua Abzug, Co-Leads Innovative Hand Surgery Training in Ghana

Dr. Josh Abzug, UMB Faculty Senate President, is part of a collaborative effort of Ghanaian, Canadian, and American hand surgeons and therapists, Health Volunteers Overseas, the American Association for Hand Surgery, and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand to establish more affordable, safe, evidence-based hand surgery in Kumasi, Ghana. Dr. Abzug has worked with Oheneba Owusu Danso, Boutros Farhat, and Vincent Ativor of Kumasi to create a series of weekly webinars in hand surgery and therapy that have been running successfully for four years.
