President Dr. Jay Perman Previews Trip to Africa to Visit "UMB Family"

President Dr. Jay Perman kicked off UMB's Inaugural Global Meet-Up series from Zambia on Sept. 24 with health care professionals from UMB and Zambia sharing best practices in team-based, interprofessional health care.
In May, UMB President Dr. Jay Perman hosted an inaugural Global Health Summit, where teams of international researchers and clinicians met to discuss their past work and future plans. He referred to the participants from 10 countries being “all part of one big UMB family working to advance health, well-being, and justice on a global scale.”
