2026 Clery Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

Dear UMB Community:

I am pleased to share the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) 2026 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report. This report represents much more than a compliance document. It also reflects the collective work of the people who make UMB a safe and welcoming place to learn, work, and visit.

UMB continues to be one of the safest areas in downtown Baltimore, and crime on our campus remains consistently low. At the same time, we know that creating a safe community goes beyond data. That’s why I encourage you to take a few minutes to look through this year’s report. In addition to crime statistics, you’ll find information about safety resources, crime prevention, emergency preparedness, policies, and services available to you. You might even discover a resource you didn’t know was available!
