Mission

We provide short-term, professional counseling and psychiatric services for currently enrolled full-time and part-time UMB students. Our mission is to help promote and maintain the emotional well-being of UMB students and serve as a resource to the entire university community.

Administrative Staff

Carvella A. Hudson (she/her/hers)
Executive Administrative Assistant and Office Manager
Ms. Hudson is the first person that will greet and speak with staff /students upon coming to the counseling center. When not at the counseling center, Ms. Hudson enjoys reading, dancing and exercising.

Tierra Major Kearney, MS (she/her/hers)
Senior Referral and Prevention Specialist
Mrs. Major Kearney assists students by providing mental health education programs and connecting them with mental health providers for long term care. When not at the counseling center, she is a fulltim PhD student at Morgan State University.
